Attention: winter has arrived and some care is needed when changing the solenoid valve.

It is common after the solenoid valve has been replaced that the new valve has defects, but this is not due to the poor quality of the part, but rather to the lack of maintenance and precautions with the cold starting system. That's why DS Tecnologia Automotiva brings you some tips and procedures that you must follow before replacing the part.

What many people do not know is that the cold starting system is activated in temperatures below 16 ° C, and because in some regions of our country we do not find these conditions often, owners do not feel the efficiency of the system, noticing problems only when colder seasons arrive.

The fuel that is in the starting tank ends up being forgotten, thus creating debris or residues similar to covering. When the system is required, the fuel takes this waste to the valve, causing it to lock.

The locking can be opened or closed and, in the first case, the engine runs easily, however, the fuel is consumed quickly. In the case of closed locking, the system does not inject the fuel, making it impossible to start.

To avoid locking the valve and to prolong the life of your components, some care is required:
•    When changing the valve, clean the cold starting tank and the hoses to prevent debris from entering the system.
•    It is NOT necessary to fill the tank.
•    Use preferably gasoline.
