A historic milestone that symbolizes the strength of the Brazilian auto parts industry. In 1971, in the interior of São Paulo state, DS was born—a journey driven by the search for solutions where the market presented gaps. Today, as it celebrates 55 years since its founding, the manufacturer consolidates its position as a benchmark in high-precision solutions for both the national and international aftermarket.
Born in the Workshop: The Entrepreneurial Spirit
The history of DS began in São José do Rio Preto (SP), founded by mechanic Dorcídio Schiavetto. Facing a constant shortage of components for the carburetion system of Simca Chambord vehicles—a model in which he was a specialist—Mr. Dorcídio decided to manufacture the necessary parts himself in small batches. The technical rigor and efficiency of the components soon won over other industry professionals, turning a craft initiative into a promising enterprise.
Industrial Leap and Certification of Excellence
The major turning point toward industrial scale occurred in 2000 with the implementation of the pressure regulator manufacturing line. This move marked the company's entry into a phase of intense technological and structural modernization. With team expansion and plant optimization, DS achieved NBR ABNT ISO 9001 certification. This achievement opened doors to active participation in major automotive ecosystem events and enabled the brand's entry into global trade.
Precision Engineering and Portfolio Expansion
Currently, the DS portfolio exceeds 2,000 registered products, serving not only light vehicles but also expanding its strategic reach with dedicated solutions for Heavy-Duty and Agricultural segments. Each component undergoes a strict quality standard—spanning raw material analysis and engineering design to individual bench testing and validation before reaching repairers and agricultural producers. As it completes over half a century of operation, DS reaffirms its commitment to continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, environmental responsibility, and strengthening relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, and partners across all fleet segments.
