In Brazil, according to IBGE data, women earn on average 20.4% less than men, with the wage gap being even wider among Black women, at 39.2%.

According to data from the 2022 Annual PNAD, white women spent 20.4 hours per week and Black women 22 hours per week on household chores and caregiving, while both white and Black men committed half of that time, at 11.7 hours per week. The poorer the family (with a per capita household income bracket of up to one-fourth of the minimum wage), the greater the number of hours women spend on household chores and caregiving, reaching 24.7 and 24.9 hours per week.

Law No. 14,611, enacted by the President of the Republic on July 3, 2023, reinforces the need for equal pay and remuneration criteria between men and women. One of its main innovations is the obligation for private companies with 100 or more employees to submit the Salary Transparency and Remuneration Criteria Report twice a year. (Source)

Demonstrating its commitment to its professionals, DS follows a Job and Salary Policy for everyone, aiming to provide fair, equitable, transparent, competitive remuneration free from discrimination.
